Say I

Everything’s gonna be alright, Say I

Everything’s gonna be alright, Say I

Even in the darkest night,

There is moonlight

What other choice do I have?

What other choice do you have?

What other choice do we have?

Say I

Even in the desert heat, I stand tall

Can’t even catch a drink, I’m a saguaro

Everything’s gonna be alright,

Say I

What other choice do I have?

What other choice do you have?

What other choice do we have?

Say I

Centering prayer:

I have everything I need already within me.

I stand tall like a saguaro in the desert.

About:

This song came out of a very dark time in life: after a miscarriage of a very much wanted-pregnancy, and the sudden tragic death of our dearest family dog, Koda - each happening within a 2-month time span.

When everything seems hopeless and despair begins to knock, it’s important to remember that our perspective is the only thing in life we actually have control over. I can choose to say “everything’s gonna be alright” - or not - but what is the alternative, exactly? I choose to say everything will be alright, in the end.
