Mama Yahweh (The Way)
Mama, Yahweh
Mama, The Way
Mama, The Truth
Mama, The Life
Mama, Yahweh!
Centering prayer:
I allow my life to be a dance between my feminine and masculine energies, and I welcome the divine feminine to help lead my way, my truth, my life.
About:
This song is an expression of a simple “dance prayer” to our divine Mother.
Our earthly mothers know us best: intimately knowing our needs, our cries, our joy.
Our divine mother, as represented across many images:
Mother Earth; nurturing and generative.
Mother “Mary” in Christianity: open, willing, while also the divine “letting go” of her beloved son.
In Chinese philosophy, the yin and yang symbol represents the union of masculine and feminine energies, which are not about gender but about expansion and contraction:
In Hinduism: Shiva is the supreme god of Shaivism, and is often considered the embodiment of masculinity. However, Shiva is also depicted in a half-male, half-female form called Ardhanarishvara, which represents the synthesis of masculine and feminine energies in the universe: Ardhanarishvara This form of Shiva is a combination of Shiva and his consort, Parvati. The name Ardhanarishvara comes from the Sanskrit words Ardha ("half"), Nari ("woman"), and Ishwara ("lord"). The right half of Ardhanarishvara is usually depicted as Shiva, and the left half as Parvati.
